About Howard Woody McDuffie

A veteran business leader and prominent figure in the logistics field, Howard Woodie McDuffie brings more than 35 years of experience to his current position as Vice President of KAG Logistics in North Canton, Ohio. The company, which is the logistics arm of the Kenan Advantage Group, is one of the leading providers of transportation solutions in the liquid bulk industry. In his role with the firm, Howard Woodie McDuffie oversees all ethanol logistics, sales, and marketing.

A dedicated employee with a strong work ethic, Howard McDuffie worked his way through school at Mississippi College, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business. He began his logistics and transportation career in 1977, when he joined national transportation firm Miller Transporters as a cement dispatcher. Over the next several years he filled a number of key roles for the company, eventually ascending to the position of Manager of Central Dispatch.

In 1987, Mr. McDuffie was tapped to lead the newly formed telemarketing department for Miller Transporters, and two years later he spearheaded an intermodal division that included the company’s first rail-to-truck operation. In 1994, the division spun off into its own company, Miller Intermodal Logistics Services, Inc., and Mr. McDuffie was named President. Over the next decade, he transformed the company into one of the world’s leading global tank container operators, transporting more than 200 tank containers per month throughout the United States and in countries around the world. As the tank container industry shifted, Mr. McDuffie transitioned the firm into tank container leasing, and by the time he left for KAG Logistics, Miller Intermodal had become one of the country’s top tank container leasing agents.

A proud grandfather and avid outdoorsman, Howard McDuffie also enjoys fishing and traveling.
